The outpouring of generosity from all Foundation donors allows the Foundation to provide dozens of significant capital grants to local nonprofit agencies serving those in need each year, and we are so very grateful for your support!
On April 13 we held our annual Donor Reception to celebrate all Foundation Donors in the 2021-2022 Fiscal Year. Foundation Chair Don Blair reported we raised over $1million in contributions this year. SafeSpace CEO Teresa Albizu, Ed.D spoke about how great an impact John’s Island Foundation grants for facilities have made on women and children who are victims of domestic abuse. The John’s Island Foundation 20th Anniversary Celebration 2020 celebrated its 20th anniversary on January 27, 2020 in the JI Club ballroom. The Foundation honored founder and first president Ellie McCabe by donating a special $50,000 grant to the Gifford Youth Achievement Center (GYAC) for a new mental health guidance office.
